Traditional Chinese Medicine (T.C.M.) and Kidney Care

Chinatown Kidney Care, PLLC now is pleased to announce that it will
provide Traditional Chinese Medicine to its patients, by Dr. Xiao Li and Dr. Qi Li.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (T.C.M.) is a 5,000 year old complex medical model
based upon holistic approaches. It utilizes concepts of Chi energy, blood
circulation as the fundamental aspect of health in the body, mind and spirit
of the patient. Disruptions in these principles created by external environmental
and industrial factors, and internal emotional imbalances are among the leading
causes of discomfort, pain and illnesses.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (T.C.M.) is consisted of two major components:
Herbal medicine and acupuncture. Herbal medicine has wilder range and
stronger effects of the treatment. It is the safest medicine when prescribed
by a licensed Chinese herbalist. In fact, herbs are more often combined with
acupuncture in T.C.M.

Dr. Xiao Li graduated from Guangzhou Medical College in China in 1986 with
a M.D. Degree and graduated from the City University of New York with a M.S.
